Vietnam's volleyball team caused a shock by defeating Indonesia and securing a spot in the SEA V.Cup final.

The volleyball result: Ngọc Thuân and his squad staged a remarkable turnaround to beat Indonesia on their home ground, booking their ticket to the final match of the 2026 SEA V.Cup Leg 2.

Set 1: Vietnam 22-25 Indonesia

The first set saw Vietnam putting up a strong fight but ultimately falling to Indonesia. Early on, Vietnam faced significant difficulties as Farhan and Boy heated up with top-class cutting shots.

Towards the end of the set, Vietnam managed to catch up and put pressure on Indonesia by tying the score at 21-21. However, at the decisive moment, the Indonesian team performed better to secure the win.

Nevertheless, it was a great set for Văn Tiên, who scored 5 points, matching Farhan from Indonesia.

Set 2: Vietnam 25-22 Indonesia

A strong comeback by the Vietnamese men's volleyball team. From a 7-7 tie, they scored three consecutive points thanks to Ngọc Thuân and Văn Duy, maintaining the advantage until the end. Alongside Ngọc Thuân's sharp attacks, the middle blockers Duy Tuyến and Thế Khải also performed excellently in set 2.

However, they still had to be wary of Boy Arnez, the opponent's outside hitter with sharp cutting skills.

Set 3: Vietnam 25-19 Indonesia

The Vietnamese men's volleyball team was truly in full swing. They had a dream start with Duy Tuyến shining at the middle blocker position, and they excellently defended their lead thanks to noticeably improved defense.

It was another great set for Văn Tiên, who scored 5 points. The Công an TPHCM outside hitter was like a sharp blade up Coach Federico Rampazzo's sleeve, causing confusion among the Indonesian team.

Set 4: Vietnam 25-18 Indonesia

The Vietnamese men's volleyball team's momentum continued. Taking advantage of Indonesia's failure to recover from the losses in sets 2 and 3, Ngọc Thuân and his teammates accelerated early to build a lead and maintained their performance throughout the rest. Ngọc Thuân played brilliantly with 11 points, completely overshadowing Boy Arnez and Farhan Halim on the other side.

Coach Federico Rampazzo and his team brought Indonesia back down to earth after their AVC Cup victory, and they will face Thailand again in the final on July 26 at 7:00 PM.

In the end, Vietnam defeated Indonesia 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-18).
