Vietnam's volleyball team swiftly defeated Myanmar 3-0, securing a spot in the semifinals of the 2026 SEA V.Cup.

Following their unfortunate defeat against Thailand, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team triumphed 3-0 over Myanmar in the 2026 SEA V.Cup, booking their ticket to the semifinals.

With consistent play and excellent control of the game, the white-shirted players easily secured a 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, and 25-19.

Entering the match, Vietnam showed clear determination to recover from their loss to Thailand. Facing a lower-ranked Myanmar side, our players quickly gained the upper hand through superior offensive organization and defensive play.

Varied combinations allowed Vietnam to continuously build a safe point margin, while Myanmar struggled with issues in their first pass, blocking, and backcourt defense.

Although the opponent tried to close the gap at several points, Vietnam played with composure to maintain control. The first set ended with a 25-18 win for coach Federico Rampazzo's squad.

In the second set, Myanmar fought harder and created a tight contest, but our players knew how to capitalize on crucial moments to win 25-23, taking a 2-0 lead.

No surprises occurred in the third set. Vietnam continued to show stability, playing effectively in both attack and net defense as well as backcourt defense, denying Myanmar any chance of a comeback. With a 25-19 victory, Vietnam closed out the match in just three sets.

The convincing win over Myanmar not only restored Vietnam's confidence after the loss to Thailand but also officially sent coach Federico Rampazzo's team into the semifinals of the 2026 SEA V.Cup.
