The group stage of VNL 2026 features 18 participating teams, which will be divided into different groups over 3 weeks of competition, with each group playing in separate venues ranging from Asia to the Americas.
Teams will compete for points with the familiar scoring system: 3 points for a 3-0/3-1 win, 2 points for a 3-2 win, and 1 point for a 2-3 loss. The top 7 teams will join host China in the Finals, while the 18th-placed team will not compete in the 2027 season.
