The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is preparing for its first training camp in 2026, ready to defend its Asian championship title.

Coach Tuấn Kiệt will announce the roster for the first training camp of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team soon. There will be some personnel changes, but we still have a fairly strong squad.

This year, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in several important tournaments and is also highly anticipated. Initially, Coach Tuấn Kiệt's players will focus on preparing for the first tournament, the AVC Cup 2026. This competition is part of the point-based system for ranking national teams by the World Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

We have won this tournament three consecutive times recently, but this year will face more challenges as the competition includes the South Korean women's team. The South Korean women's volleyball team is considered the biggest opponent for Vietnam in the AVC Cup 2026.

HLV Tuấn Kiệt sẽ chọn 14 cầu thủ trong đợt tập trung đầu tiên của tuyển bóng chuyền nữ Việt Nam tham dự AVC Cup 2026

Coach Tuấn Kiệt will select 14 players for the first training camp of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team participating in the AVC Cup 2026.

South Korea aims to win the AVC Cup this year, and to prepare for this tournament, the Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) has announced the national team roster with familiar faces.

The South Korean team roster includes Kang So Hwi, Park Yeo Reum, Kim Da Eun & Lee Ye Rim (outside hitters), Jeong Yun Ju & Na Hyun Soo (opposite hitters), Lee Da Hyeon, Kim Se Heen, Lee Ju Ah, Park Eun Jin & Jung Ho Young (middle blockers), Kim Da In, Ahn Hye Hin, Lee Su Yeon & Choi Seo Hyun (setters), Moon Jung Won, Kim Hyo Im & Lee Young Ju (liberos).

Many players in the above list have previously faced the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, and with our current strength, we can be confident when meeting the South Korean team.

Compared to 2023, when Vietnam twice staged thrilling comeback victories over South Korea with the same 3-2 score, we are now even stronger and more experienced in competition.

Đội tuyển bóng chuyền nữ Việt Nam dự kiến chỉ tập trung 14 cầu thủ chuẩn bị cho AVC Cup 2026

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is expected to gather only 14 players to prepare for the AVC Cup 2026.

Coach Tuấn Kiệt will not have the services of middle blockers Nguyễn Thị Trinh (taking a break for family reasons) and Lưu Thị Huệ (injured), outside hitter Trần Tú Linh (not fully recovered), and opposite hitter Kiều Trinh (injured) also uncertain about playing, but we have plenty of alternative solutions and quality options.

For the outside hitter position, Coach Tuấn Kiệt has many choices such as Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, Như Quỳnh, Quỳnh Hương, Ánh Thảo, Nguyễn Huỳnh Phương Thùy, Nguyễn Thị Uyên, Hoàng Hồng Hạnh. For the opposite hitter position, we have Bích Huệ, Kim Thanh, Trà My. Additionally, Trần Thị Thanh Thúy can also play as an opposite hitter.

For the middle blocker position, we have Trần Thị Bích Thủy, Lê Thanh Thúy, Như Anh, Phương Quỳnh, Minh Thu, Lý Thị Luyến, Lê Thùy Linh. Options for the setter position include Kim Thoa, Lâm Oanh, Yến Nhi, Đinh Thị Vân, and Khánh Đang, Ninh Anh, Thảo Nguyên, Cá Thị Tư are solutions for the libero position.

These are the anticipated personnel solutions for the playing positions of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. The upcoming roster will certainly not have many differences. Let's wait to see which 14 players Coach Tuấn Kiệt will select to participate in the first important tournament of 2026, the AVC Cup.
