Phụ công Bích Thủy has reached a very high level in the history of Vietnamese women's volleyball, comparable to legends.

Bích Thủy is still referred to as "little Ngọc Hoa," but at the present moment, the 1.84m tall opposite hitter has truly attained a very high level.

After defeating LPBank Ninh Bình 3-0, Hóa Chất Đức Giang Lào Cai excellently reversed the course and defeated defending champion VTV Bình Điền Long An 3-2. Many believe coach Ngọc Hoa made a mistake by not substituting the foreign player in the third set. Many also simply think VTV Bình Điền Long An lost by themselves after winning the first two sets and leading Hóa Chất Đức Giang Lào Cai 21-17 in the third set, yet still allowing the opponent to turn the match around.

Those opinions are not entirely unreasonable, but if they are considered the sole reason for the defending champion's defeat in Vietnamese women's volleyball, it is truly a shortcoming, if not a major oversight. Simply, if they had not faced Long An on the other side of the net with an exceptionally high-level Bích Thủy, they certainly would not have lost this match.

The 1.84m tall opposite hitter did not stop at quick attacks and annoying blocking points. Before the defending champion of Vietnamese women's volleyball, people witnessed for the first time a Bích Thủy not only skilled professionally but also displaying the style of a true leader.

Originally a famously cold and calm player, but in the confrontation with Long An, Bích Thủy, through actions and words, had "verbal clashes" with Trà My and Lữ Thị Phương on the other side of the net at a "critical" moment of the match. All within professional boundaries and very measured. The opposite hitter of HCĐG Lào Cai was completely justified as she did not commit any fault and spoke up to assert that.

The unexpectedly strong and highly professional level of Bích Thủy truly created great motivation and confidence for her teammates to compete with over 100% effort against a very strong opponent and ultimately, achieve a fully deserved victory.

To see Bích Thủy's impact in the victory over VTV Bình Điền Long An, one must know that HCĐG Lào Cai's opponent is led by a legend (Coach Ngọc Hoa), possesses two Cuban foreign players along with a lineup of local stars including national team players like Kim Thanh, Lê Như Anh, or Kim Thoa.

That Long An team has won the National Championship for two consecutive seasons, defeating big names like Binh Chủng Thông Tin, Ninh Bình, or Vietinbank. But they lost to Bích Thủy, who sealed the match with the decisive scoring point 18-16 for HCĐG Lào Cai in the fifth set, bringing a 3-2 overall victory for the chemical industry volleyball team.

Bích Thủy is not merely a "team-carrying" star in terms of pure skill. Now she is also the spiritual pillar of the entire HCĐG Lào Cai team, ready to speak up and fight to defend what is right.

The opposite hitter who scored 8 points against the Chinese national team, scored 17 points eliminating South Korea at ASIAD 2023, scored 15 points against Thailand in the SEA Games 2025 women's volleyball final, and scored up to 22 points in a match in this season's Japanese National Championship before returning home does not need to prove anything more to become a star of stature.

Coach Tuấn Kiệt once evaluated Bích Thủy as having one of the best back-row attacks in Vietnam, but truly at the present moment, she has built a more comprehensive image for herself and is at a very high level.

After Ngọc Hoa, Kim Huệ, or Bùi Thị Ngà, Bích Thủy fully deserves to be considered a legendary opposite hitter in the history of Vietnamese women's volleyball even from this moment. Only after over a year, the "Korean exchange student" and "Japanese exchange student" has reached new heights, becoming a much more refined and perfected version compared to her previous self.

The current Bích Thủy is not a new version of any of the aforementioned seniors. She has simply established a very distinct position in history and is not inferior to any senior.
