Chinese media is buzzing about the Vietnamese volleyball championship, astonished that a world runner-up scored 30 points yet still lost.

Chinese media in recent days has closely followed developments in the Vietnamese National Volleyball Championship as Chinese foreign players compete there.

On April 12, Hanoi Tasco Auto Club continued its impressive form in the 2026 National Volleyball Championship by defeating LPB Ninh Bình 3-2 (25-20, 25-19, 18-25, 22-25, 15-12) in the fourth round. This is their fourth consecutive win, keeping the capital team's unbeaten record intact.

In this match, the Chinese outside hitter Wang Yizhu scored a total of 30 points, including 27 attack points, 1 block point, and 2 serve points.

The website 163 recently published an article about the match and highlighted Wang Yizhu's performance: "Scoring 30 points from 86 attacks, Wang Yizhu still lost after 5 sets; the statistics show utter helplessness."

Wang Yizhu (born 2001) is 1.87m tall, plays as an outside hitter, and has competed for several seasons for China's Tianjin Bohai Bank Club. Her most notable achievement is the silver medal at the 2024 Women's Club World Championship.
