Trần Thị Thanh Thúy has been in excellent form lately, not only with her club but also while playing for the national squad.
The national women's volleyball player Trần Thị Thanh Thúy currently plays for Gunma Green Wings on loan from VTV Bình Điền Long An. During this return to Japan, Thanh Thúy is showing outstanding performance and has been brilliantly selected for the prestigious All Star lineup, taking part in the SV.League All Star Games event.
Here, the captain of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will be part of Team Nichika, alongside top players like Yukiko Wada, Airi Miyabe, Kotona Hayashi, and Lise Van Hecke.
The SV.League All Star Games featuring Thanh Thúy will take place at 11:05 AM on January 31, 2026, at Glion Arena Kobe, Hyogo, Japan.
In December, Thanh Thúy returned to Vietnam and then traveled with the national team to Thailand for SEA Games 33, missing two matches with Gunma Green Wings. At this year’s Games, "4T" scored 54 points across 3 matches, ranking third in the scoring list and played a crucial role in helping Vietnam’s women’s volleyball team reach the SEA Games final for the fourth consecutive time.
Unfortunately, in the decisive match, Thanh Thúy and her teammates lost 2-3 to the host Thailand team, falling short of making history at this tournament.
The attacker born in 1997 will take a few days off before returning to Japan to join Gunma Green Wings for the upcoming matches in the SV.League 2025-2026 season. Thanh Thúy is expected to play against Ageo Medics at 11:05 AM on December 28.
Besides "4T," three other Vietnamese female players are currently or soon to be playing abroad. Trần Thị Bích Thủy plays for Okayama Seagulls, another club in the Japanese National Championship; Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is preparing to compete in Indonesia for Medan Falcons; while Lý Thị Luyến is competing in Mongolia.
