Coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai is pleased that the Thai women's volleyball team defeated Indonesia but stresses that the gold medal final against Vietnam's women's volleyball team will be very tough.
With a strong display, the Thai women's team comfortably beat Indonesia 3-0 in the semifinals on December 14, earning a spot in the gold medal final of the 17th SEA Games against Vietnam on December 15.
Coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai remains cautious ahead of the 2025 SEA Games women's volleyball final.
After the game, Thailand's women's volleyball coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai shared insights on player usage. He also mentioned the upcoming final against Vietnam. "Congratulations to the players on their win. In this match, we tried to rotate and substitute players so new athletes could gain experience and build confidence, as the match against Vietnam will be quite challenging," Coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai said.
"Indonesia's women's volleyball team performed very well and has improved compared to their matches in the SV League, especially in serving," Coach Kiattipong continued.
"The final against Vietnam's women's volleyball team will not be easy because they are tall and strong, so we must play precisely and not underestimate them," Coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai stated.
Meanwhile, Chatchu-on Moksri, a star player of Thailand's women's volleyball team, said: "Although we have faced Vietnam many times before, this time feels more special because the SEA Games are hosted at home. I hope to receive support from sports fans both in the stands and at home. Please cheer for us once again. We will do our best to bring the gold medal back to Thai fans."
In the last three SEA Games finals, Vietnam's women's volleyball team has always faced Thailand but has not yet managed to change their medal color. Coach Tuấn Kiệt's team remains determined.
According to the schedule, the 2025 SEA Games women's volleyball final between host Thailand and Vietnam will take place at 5:30 PM today at Huamark Indoor Stadium. Before that, Indonesia will compete for the bronze medal against the Philippines at 3:00 PM.
