Set 1: Vietnam 25-20 Indonesia
Vietnam started poorly in this match as Indonesia quickly built a big lead. Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, making her SEA Games 33 debut, struggled with ball control, including a surprisingly bad first touch, while other attackers were not yet in rhythm, forcing coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt to call an early timeout.
However, once Thanh Thúy got into the game, Indonesia had no chance to stop our girls from accelerating. The "4T" made an impact with thunderous spikes, and the connection between setter Võ Thị Kim Thoa and opposite hitter Lê Thanh Thúy also played a key role in helping Vietnam pull away from Indonesia.
A challenging set, but the Vietnam women's volleyball team demonstrated their class and composure.
Set 2: Vietnam 25-15 Indonesia
Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi’s efforts gave Indonesia a decent start in set 2, but that was all the "Island Nation" could manage. Not only Thanh Thúy, but Như Quỳnh also shone offensively, while our blockers like Lê Thúy and Kiều Trinh performed excellently, enabling Vietnam to gradually distance themselves from their opponent.
Thanh Thúy and teammates limited Indonesia to only minor points this set, securing a 10-point victory margin and increasing the score to 2-0.
