Thailand Volleyball Federation President Somporn Usibangyang confirmed that the volleyball court at Huamark Indoor Stadium (Bangkok) is ready to serve SEA Games 2025, both in terms of the court itself and technical aspects.

Huamark Indoor Stadium, with a capacity of 8,000 seats, will also host matches for both the Vietnamese women's and men's volleyball teams in this SEA Games edition.

Mr. Somporn Usibangyang emphasized that organizing indoor volleyball at Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, overseen by the Federation, will face no technical difficulties since the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship was held here in August and September this year.

On the evening of December 5th, the playing surface was fully completed. Following that, LED lighting systems will be installed around the venue, and signboards for various areas, including athlete rooms, offices for organizers and media, will also be decorated.

The SEA Games 2025 organizing committee has released the indoor volleyball schedule. In the women's category, the Vietnam volleyball team is placed in group B alongside Indonesia, Myanmar, and Malaysia. The team will start against Myanmar at 3:00 PM on December 10th, face Malaysia at 12:30 PM on December 11th, and play Indonesia at 12:30 PM on December 12th. This is considered a relatively easy group as Malaysia and Myanmar are not strong, and Indonesia has declined in recent years. The semifinals will take place on December 14th, with the final on December 15th.

The women's team finalized a roster of 14 players, including middle blocker Lê Như Anh making her SEA Games debut, replacing Nguyễn Thị Trinh who withdrew due to health issues. Key players Thanh Thúy and Bích Thủy will return home to join the team before the entire squad departs for Thailand on December 8th.

In the men's category, Vietnam will compete against Laos on December 13th, Singapore on December 14th, and Thailand on December 16th. The men's semifinals will be on December 18th, with the final on December 19th in Bangkok.
