She is one of the most unique stars in Vietnamese women’s volleyball history but chose to leave the team after over twenty years and surprisingly appeared in an unbelievable new role.

One year after saying goodbye to the Information Army Corps (BCTT) Brigade 19, Phạm Thị Thu Trang still pursues her volleyball passion by coaching young children.

But not stopping at volleyball, this famous former middle blocker recently shocked friends, colleagues, and fans by becoming a pilot.

Many were curious about Thu Trang’s very different new image and asked what she was doing. Although not giving details, the former Vietnamese women’s volleyball player said she flies planes to deliver aid to flood victims.

Phạm Thị Thu Trang once wore the Vietnamese women’s volleyball national team jersey and won a SEA Games silver medal at only 19 years old. After more than two decades, she officially retired from the military women’s volleyball team at age 36.

On October 28, 2024, veteran middle blocker Phạm Thị Thu Trang officially bid farewell to BCTT Brigade 19 after more than twenty years of dedication.
