Coach Tuấn Kiệt openly expressed his wish and did not hesitate to name the European female volleyball star.
Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt said he still hopes the Serbian outside hitter Jelena Vulin can come back to play for Công Thương Bank in the second phase of the 2025 National Championship.
In an interview with SGGP, Coach Tuấn Kiệt shared: "We are focusing on preparing for the second phase of the competition. The team highly anticipates Jelena Vulin’s involvement. However, at present, we have not finalized the last foreign player because Vulin is still engaged with matches in China."
Coach Tuấn Kiệt returned to lead Vietinbank after finishing his role with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team during the first training camp of 2025.
According to the head coach, once the team reaches an agreement with the foreign player, the information will be officially announced. Vulin played consistently in the first phase this season, helping Công Thương Bank temporarily hold 4th place, thereby keeping the chance to qualify for the final round. In phase two, the team will face Hưng Yên and Thanh Hóa.
After finishing his duties with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, Coach Tuấn Kiệt returned to lead Công Thương Bank and immediately began training. The team plans to train domestically before moving to Ninh Bình for phase two.
The phase one roster included Tôn Thị Minh Thư, Hà Kiều Vy, Trần Thị Phương, Trần Thị Huệ, Hoàng Thị Phương Anh, Bùi Hải Yến, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh, Bùi Thị Hồng Thắm, Đặng Thị Hồng, Nguyễn Phương Quỳnh, Lê Thị Phương Anh, Nguyễn Thị Ninh Anh, Đinh Thị Trà Giang, Nguyễn Minh Thu, and Jelena Vulin. Among them, two outside hitters, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh and Đặng Thị Hồng, have recently been members of the national team and the U21 women's team of Vietnam.
