Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt expressed his hope that foreign player Jelena Vulin will continue to play for VietinBank in the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.
According to SGGP, Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt wishes to have the Serbian attacker Jelena Vulin on board for the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.
After returning to lead VietinBank from the national team, Mr. Kiệt said the team is fully focused on preparations and is eager for Vulin to continue participating. However, this possibility remains uncertain as the Serbian outside hitter has scheduling conflicts in China and the coaching staff has yet to finalize the last foreign player slot.
Jelena Vulin performed consistently in the first phase, playing a major role in helping VietinBank temporarily rank 4th, maintaining their chance to compete for a spot in the finals.
If reinforcements arrive in time, the team can definitely make a breakthrough in the remaining two matches against Hưng Yên and Thanh Hóa. The coaching staff confirmed that once an official agreement with the foreign player is reached, the information will be publicly announced.
At the start of the season, VietinBank registered a squad featuring many young and promising players such as Tôn Thị Minh Thư, Hà Kiều Vy, Trần Thị Phương, Trần Thị Huệ, Hoàng Thị Phương Anh, Bùi Hải Yến, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh, Bùi Thị Hồng Thắm, Đặng Thị Hồng, Nguyễn Phương Quỳnh, Lê Thị Phương Anh, Nguyễn Thị Ninh Anh, Đinh Thị Trà Giang, Nguyễn Minh Thu, and Jelena Vulin.
Notably, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh and Đặng Thị Hồng recently represented the national team and Vietnam U21 at two world tournaments.
According to the plan, the entire team will train domestically before moving to Ninh Bình for phase two.
