Today (August 23), the Vietnam women's volleyball team will officially start their campaign at the 2025 World Championship with an opening match against Poland in Group G. The game is scheduled for 20:30 and promises to be a significant challenge for coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt’s squad.
Poland currently ranks 3rd in the world standings, while Vietnam is placed 22nd. The 19-rank gap clearly highlights the differences in skill level, experience, and physical stature between the two teams. Unfortunately, Vietnam will be without their key attacker Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền, who often carries the responsibility of scoring in major matches.
Nevertheless, the Vietnamese team has shown determination and thorough preparation ahead of the tournament. The entire squad aims to play with dedication, not intimidated by stronger opponents, and plans to implement new tactical strategies to overcome weaknesses. This also provides a chance for younger players to demonstrate their resilience, gain valuable experience, and prove their abilities on the world stage.
