International media pays attention to Vietnam women's volleyball

In their debut at the World Championship, the Vietnam women's volleyball team promises to bring many surprises against the strong opponent Poland in the opening match.

In the opening match of the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship, Vietnam will face the host Poland at 8:30 PM on August 23rd. This is considered a huge challenge for coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt's team, as their opponent ranks 3rd in the world, only behind Brazil and Italy.

Before the confrontation, Polish media have shown special interest in the Vietnam women's volleyball team. Strefa Siatkowki, a leading volleyball specialized site, published a detailed analysis about the strength and rise of the Vietnamese girls.

However, compared to Thailand, a regional rival with more international experience, Vietnam women's volleyball still has many limitations. Therefore, this World Championship is not only a challenge but also a historic milestone, opening a new chapter for the development of Vietnamese volleyball.

In reality, the women's team has proven regional strength with 41 championships in various official tournaments. Notably, the VTV Cup with 17 titles, as well as multiple top podium finishes at the SEA Games and SEA V.League.

One particularly notable achievement is the bronze medal at the 2024 Challenger Cup, a tournament under the FIVB system. Moreover, for three consecutive years, Vietnam women's volleyball has dominated the AVC Women’s Nations Cup, showing clear advancement on the continental stage.
