The 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship, the top international event for national women's volleyball teams, will be held in Thailand from August 22 to September 7, 2025.
This is a historic event with many new features: the first time hosted in Southeast Asia, a switch to a biennial event on odd years, and notably an expansion to 32 teams. Serbia is the reigning champion after winning their second title in 2022.
Thailand being chosen as host is a major milestone, making it the third Asian country after Japan and China to hold the tournament. The competition will take place in four strategic cities: Bangkok (Huamark Indoor Stadium), Phuket (Phuket City Stadium), Chiang Mai (Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre), and Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat Chatchai Hall).
