The 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship (FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship) is the most prestigious international volleyball event, taking place from August 22 to September 7 across four cities in Thailand: Bangkok, Chiangmai, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Phuket. The tournament features 32 top national teams divided into 8 groups as follows:

  • Group A: Thailand (host), Netherlands, Sweden, Egypt
  • Group B: Italy, Belgium, Cuba, Slovakia
  • Group C: Brazil (defending runner-up), Puerto Rico, France, Greece
  • Group D: USA, Czech Republic, Argentina, Slovenia
  • Group E: Turkey, Canada, Bulgaria, Spain
  • Group F: China, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico
  • Group G: Vietnam, Poland, Kenya, Germany
  • Group H: Japan, Serbia (defending champion), Ukraine, Cameroon

The 2025 World Championship marks a historic moment for Vietnamese women's volleyball as it is their first time participating in this prestigious event. Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt's team earned their spot in Thailand by finishing in the top 4 at the 2023 Asian Championship.

The reigning world champion is Serbia, who defeated Brazil 3-0 in 2022. Serbia's top star, Tijana Boskovic, is the current MVP of the tournament.
