The 2025 Vietnam National Volleyball Championship is set to ignite excitement like never before with the inclusion of the elite foreign player Thijs Ter Horst on the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team.

The Dutch star, who has competed in Europe’s top competitions, is expected to bring a fresh dynamic and enhance the strength of this newcomer team in the domestic arena.

Born in 1991 and standing at an impressive 2.03 meters, Thijs Ter Horst is one of the premier outside hitters in Dutch volleyball. He is known as the "attack machine" due to his outstanding vertical leap and powerful spikes that intimidate opposing blockers. Throughout his illustrious career, Ter Horst has played for renowned clubs such as Sir Safety Perugia (Italy), Verona (Italy), and Suwon KEPCO (South Korea).

The most notable highlight of his career is winning the Italian volleyball championship in 2021 with Perugia, where he played a crucial role in their journey to conquer the European summit. Moreover, Ter Horst has frequently participated in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) with the Dutch national team, solidifying his status on the international stage.
