On August 13 local time, Karinsakaya played a thrilling three-set match against her compatriot Alexandrova in the last night session on the main court, ultimately winning with a score of 3-6/7-6(5)/6-1, with the match finishing past 12:30 AM local time.
Karinsakaya stated in her post that she returned to her accommodation at 2:40 AM after the match and did not go to bed until 4:00 AM. Her quarterfinal match against Swiatek is scheduled to take place first on the main court at 11:00 AM local time on August 15. “How can the WTA and event organizers expect players to perform at their best when the scheduling is so unreasonable?” Karinsakaya remarked. “Sleep is one of the most critical aspects of recovery, and such a biased arrangement makes it difficult for me to recover and adjust my sleep patterns.”
