The five tournaments are enough for qualification for the year-end finals, and Sinner is incredibly strong in the 2025 season!

Despite the months remaining until the 2025 year-end finals, Sinner has confirmed his entry into the ATP year-end finals due to his excellent performance and high efficiency this season.

In the current ATP championship rankings, Sinner holds the second position with 6000 points, a testament to his high scoring efficiency given that he has only competed in five tournaments this year.

Sinner's 2025 season began at the Australian Open, where he, as the defending champion, defeated strong competitors such as Jarry, Skúrlkét, Gilon, Rune, De Minaur, and Shelton to reach the men's singles final.

His final opponent was the German player Zverev, and Sinner ultimately gave little chance to his rival, winning with a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3, becoming the fifth man in the Open Era to win three consecutive hard court Grand Slam titles.

After successfully defending his title at the Australian Open, Sinner withdrew from tournaments like Rotterdam and was handed a three-month suspension due to a doping incident in mid-February, which forced him to miss events in Doha, Indian Wells, Miami, and Madrid.

In April, Sinner began his rehabilitation training and returned to the court at the Rome Masters. In his first match back, he won in straight sets against Navone and subsequently eliminated players like Jasper, Cerundolo, Ruud, and Paul, making it to the men's singles final in his comeback tournament.

However, facing the more dominant Alcaraz on clay, Sinner was ultimately defeated, ending his impressive 26-match winning streak across seasons. At the subsequent French Open, Sinner also eliminated several top players, including Djokovic, to reach the men's singles final, where he again lost to Alcaraz. This final was particularly intense, with Sinner being reversed from a score of 6-4, 7-6, 4-6, 6-7, 6-7, finishing as the runner-up at the French Open.

During the grass season, although Sinner unexpectedly lost to Bublik early in the Halle tournament (in the second round), he clearly regained his form at the Wimbledon Championships, defeating players such as Nardi, Vukic, Martinez, Dimitrov, Shelton, Djokovic, and Alcaraz on his way to the title.

In the final, after defeating Alcaraz, Sinner also ended his five-match losing streak against him, avenging his loss in the French Open final while also ending Alcaraz's 20-match winning streak on the grass at Wimbledon.

As a result, Sinner has amassed 6000 points from just five tournaments, securing an early spot in this year's ATP year-end finals with a second-place finish in the rankings. So, can Sinner, as the defending champion, successfully lift the trophy at the upcoming US Open?(Source: Tennis Home, Author: Barbie)
