ATP Cincinnati Masters: Sinner Dominates Gran, Kicking Off Post-Wimbledon Debut with a Win

Fourth seed Fritz overcame Nava with a score of 6-4/6-4, seventh seed Rune eliminated Safiullin with 7-5/7-6(5), tenth seed Tiafoe defeated Baena 6-4/6-3, and thirteenth seed Paul easily won against Martinez with 6-2/6-2, all advancing to the next round.

Eighth seed Musetti lost to Botic with 7-5/4-6/6-7(4), eleventh seed Ruud fell to Lindeknecht with 7-6(5)/4-6/2-6, and fifteenth seed Cobolli was defeated by Altmaier with 4-6/6-3/6-7(5), exiting in their debuts. Seventeenth seed Davidovich Fokina chose to retire while trailing 7-6(4)/4-5, allowing his opponent Fonseca to advance.
