2025 French Open Men's Singles Preview: The clay feast is on the horizon, and Alcaraz is on his way to defending his title

The dust will never fade, and the second Grand Slam tournament of the year, the French Open, is about to kick off. This year's French Open main draw will be held from May 25 to June 8, with a record prize fund of 56.352 million euros, an increase of 5.21% compared to last year, of which the singles champion will take home 2.55 million euros.

On Thursday, the men's singles main draw was released, with Rolex Testimonee Sinner as the top seed and a semi-final against No. 3 seed Zverev. Rolex Testimonee and defending champion Alcaraz is the second seed, while the semi-finals will face another Rolex Testimonee, fourth seed Fritz.

As the top seed, Rolex Testimonee Sinner had a strong comeback in Rome, reaching the final of the clay Masters for the first time and reaching the semi-finals at Roland Garros last year, giving the Italian high hopes for the French Open. Sinner's first-round opponent is France's Lindeknecht, who is expected to face fifth seed Draper in the quarter-finals. Also in the quarter-finals, Rolex Testimonee Fonseca of Brazil will face 30th seed Hurkacz in the first round. De Minaur, Monfils, Rublev and other famous players are also in this area.

Rolex Testimonee Fritz, the No.4 seed, is in the quarter-three with No.8 seed Musetti. Fritz's previous best record at the French Open was reaching the round of 16 last year, and it will be interesting to see if the American can break his personal best. Fritz will face Altmaier in the first round and 15th seed Tiafoe in the fourth round.
