Buyun Chaoket: I don't care too much about the title of "China's first brother".

The 2025 season is the first year that Buyun Chaoket has fully entered the tour, but for most of this year, he has been "fighting alone", and with Zhang Zhizhen and Shang Juncheng absent due to injury, Buyun Chaoket is often the "Chinese men's seedling" on the ATP Tour.

"A few days ago, Zhang Zhizhen sent me a message, and I also told him, 'You get better quickly, I don't have anyone to eat', usually I don't have to pay, he invites me to dinner. Ah Yu (Wu Yixuan) was here two days ago (playing the qualifying round), and I sent him a message, but he had already gone to New York at that time and missed it. It's been a long time since we've seen each other, and I still miss it. ”

After finishing runner-up in the Turin Challenger, he surpassed Zhang Zhizhen and Shang Juncheng in the world rankings and became the "first brother of China" for the first time, for which he generously said: "Actually, I don't particularly care about this, I just play my own tennis. If you have a chance to become a (China's first brother), then why not? What's so bad about it? ”

After a first-round exit in Rome, Buyunchaokert opted to 'get back' to the Challenger and find better clay form on the eve of the French Open.

"I was sick in Munich the first few weeks and I arrived in Madrid and I wasn't completely well. In Rome I actually felt like I was playing very well, I was very happy with my game, but I didn't win until I got to the tie-break, and my opponent played very well on clay. Later, I planned to go to Turin, in order to find the feeling of the game and make myself in better shape. ”

When it comes to how he feels when he enters the tour, although he can't win at this level consistently, it hasn't affected his confidence on the field.

"In the first few rounds of the challenge, I was able to win when I didn't do well, but if I didn't do well by just one or two points on the tour, I couldn't win this game. Although I haven't won many games this year, I've already scored 300 points this season, and I actually have 6 or 700 points to get into the top 100, so it's actually very acceptable to think about it from this perspective. Although I lose a lot against players with high rankings now, I feel more relaxed when I play with players with lower rankings, and there is a certain gap, so I think that if you can see your own progress, your confidence will increase. ”

According to the #French Open2025# draw, Buyunchaokert's first-round opponent is Austria's Misolic (world No. 155), who broke through from the qualifying round, and he once again has a chance to win his first Grand Slam main draw.

"It doesn't matter who the opponent is, it's my attitude and my form, I can accept to lose, but I don't want my form to be like the final in Turin and Hamburg, it's not my best form."
