The odds of winning the French Open men's singles are announced! Is it the same as the ranking in your mind?

The best stars in men's tennis have gathered in Paris for the upcoming French Open tennis tournament from May 25 to June 8. The men's singles draw was announced on Thursday, May 22, and after the draw was released, bookmakers quickly adjusted the odds for several of the main favourites to win the tournament.

Defending champions Alcaraz remain the bookies' favourites and are believed to have a good chance of defending their title, with BetMGM offering him +105 to win the title.

Alcaraz is currently basking in the joy of winning the Italian Open. However, after the Rome tournament, Alcaraz's team unveiled detailed plans for his preparation for the French Open. On Monday, May 19, Alcaraz returned home for two days to relax. He then travelled to Paris with his team on Wednesday 21 May to start a training session at Roland Garros, attend the draw for the French Open, and plan to visit the headquarters of the famous French racket manufacturer Biobelis.

On the list of favourites to win the French Open, world number one Sinner is close behind at +190. He recently returned from a three-month doping ban and has been in good form despite a lengthy absence.

The Italian Open was Sinner's first tournament since his comeback, and he made it all the way to the final, where he lost to Alcaraz. He also lost to the Spaniard in the semi-finals of last year's French Open and has lost all of his last four meetings. However, this time the two were divided into different halves of the draw and therefore would not meet before the final.

Djokovic is still chasing his 25th Grand Slam title. He hasn't won a Grand Slam title since winning the 2023 US Open. Despite this, the bookmakers are quite confident in his winning prospects, giving him +1200 odds to win the title.

Djokovic won the only missing medal in Paris last time out – an Olympic gold medal. He beat Alcaraz to gold in Paris and will be hoping to replicate that form in his quest for a fourth French Open title.

Zverev was one step away from winning the French Open last year, but ultimately lost to Alcaraz in a five-set battle. He also reached the final of the Australian Open earlier this year, but the overall clay season has been up and down. He won one ATP 500 tournament but underperformed in other major tournaments. However, his past record and overall results at the French Open are still worth noting, so the bookies have set him odds of +1600.

Musetti has been extremely consistent on clay this season. He reached the final of the Monte Carlo Masters and reached the semi-finals of the Madrid Open and the Italian Open; He also broke into the top 10 for the first time a few weeks ago, earning him +2,000 odds to win.

Ruud had just won his first Masters title at the Madrid Open. He has reached the French Open final twice, and perhaps this time he can finally break through with +2,800 to win.

Draper's consistent performances even on clay make him a potential dark horse at the French Open, with +3,300 odds to win. Fez and Rune are currently priced at +5,000 by bookies, and both are chasing their first career Grand Slam titles.(Source: Tennis Home Author: Spark)
