Inventory of the ten famous players who have sent eggs to Nadal at the French Open, Federer, Djo and Sinner are among them!

Nadal's 112-4 record at the French Open is unrivalled not only in tennis, but also in all individual sports. There are 20 players who have been "shaved down" by Nadal at the French Open (i.e., losing a set 6-0), including the other two members of the "Big Three" – Federer and Djokovic, as well as current world number one Sinner Sinner.

Here are some of the players who had their heads shaved by Nadal at the French Open:

10. Grosjean (2005)

When Nadal made his first appearance at the French Open in 2005, he played his first French Open "doughnut" in the fourth round against France's Grosjean. Despite Gross's added experience (he reached the semi-finals of the French Open in 2001), the young Nadal was undaunted.

Nadal won the first set and dropped the second, but he swept away 6-0 in the third set to win 6-4 3-6 6-0 6-3 and went on to win his first French Open title with defeats of Ferrer, Federer and Puerta.

9. Ferrer (2005, 2014)

After facing Grosjean in 2005, Nadal shaved a set 6-0 from his next opponent, Ferrer, in the quarterfinals. Ferrer, who was ranked 21st in the world at the time, already had experience at the French Open, and Nadal had already beaten him twice that season. In this match, Nadal easily advanced 7-5 6-2 6-0. This is his first time reaching the quarterfinals of the French Open.

In 2014, the two met again in the quarter-finals of the French Open, with Nadal also playing a set of shaved heads, winning 4-6 6-4 6-0 6-1.

8. Moya (2007)

In the quarterfinals of the 2007 French Open, Nadal played against his hometown Moya, and the previous record between the two was Nadal's 3-2 slight advantage. But there was no suspense in the match, as Nadal swept past his opponent 6-4 6-3 6-0 and then defeated Djokovic and Federer to win his third French Open title.

7. Verdasco (2008)

Nadal in 2008 was at his peak. He won comfortably in the first three rounds and played a shaved head against De Veld in the second round. By the time he faced Verdasco in the fourth round, Nadal had a 5-0 record over him. In this match, Nadal barely let his opponent breathe, dropping only three games to advance comfortably 6-1 6-0 6-2. He went on to win the title for the fourth time with victories over Almagro, Novak Djokovic and Federer.

6. Federer (2008)

The 2008 French Open final was the third consecutive year that Nadal and Federer have competed for the title in Paris. Nadal had beaten Federer three times at the French Open, the only Grand Slam Federer had failed to reach at the time. While the two greatest players were expected to put on a classic matchup, the match was one-sided, with Nadal beating Federer 6-1 6-3 6-0 in the most dramatic matchup. It is worth mentioning that Nadal has never lost to Federer at the French Open, winning all six matches.

5. Tim (2017)

In the semi-finals of the 2017 French Open, Nadal faced young star Thiem. Nadal was returning from injury that year, and he did not perform well in his previous two French Opens, 2015 and 2016.

At the time, many thought Nadal was past his prime, and the rising Austrian Thiem was expected to cause an upset. But Nadal quickly shattered those illusions and swept his rival 6-3 6-4 6-0 to advance to his 10th French Open final. He defeated Wawrinka in the final to win his tenth French Open title.

Since then, Nadal and Thiem have also faced each other in the 2018 and 2019 French Open finals, winning in three and four sets respectively.

4. Novak Djokovic (2020)

Nadal and Djokovic had played at Roland Garros seven times before the 2020 French Open final, winning six of them, including the finals in 2012 and 2014. However, Djokovic was world No. 1 at the time and was considered one of the very few who could beat Nadal at the French Open – after all, he did it in 2015.

Nadal started the match with a strong start, winning the first set 6-0 and then winning the second 6-2 to keep the pace of the match. Djokovic tried to fight back in the third set, but Nadal won 6-0 6-2 7-5 to win his 13th French Open title.

3. Gasquet (2021)

Nadal and Gasquet's record is one-sided. Prior to the second round of the 2021 French Open, Nadal had won all 16 meetings between the two sides, including two French Open duels in 2005 and 2018.

This match continued that trend, as Nadal swept his opponent 6-0 in the first set, showing the difference in quality between the two sides. Despite Gasquet's resistance in the second set, Nadal won 6-0 7-5 6-2 to extend his record to 17-0.

2. Sinner (2021)

In the fourth round of the 2021 French Open, Nadal faced Italian rising star Sinner. In the match, known as the "old and new encounter", Nadal represents the older generation of men's tennis, while Sinner represents the new generation.

The first set was a stalemate, with Nadal narrowly winning 7-5. He then gained the upper hand and won the second set 6-3. In the third set, Sinner was completely suppressed and Nadal sealed the victory 6-0 and showed his dominance.

1. Ruud (2022)

Nadal's last shaved head at the French Open came in the 2022 final, against Ruud. Nadal was in red-hot form that year, winning the Australian Open and beating the likes of Aliassime, Djokovic and Zverev on his way to the final. Rafael Nadal was the favourite in the final, winning 6-3 in the first set and 6-3 in the second. He crushed his opponent in the third set to finish 6-0 and win his 14th French Open title, setting an all-time record.(Source: Tennis Home Author: Spark)
