Miami: Novak Djokovic snaps a three-game losing streak and ties with Rafael Nadal for the most ATP Masters wins

Novak Djokovic made a strong comeback at the Miami Open, equalling Nadal's record for most wins at ATP1000 Masters.

Novak Djokovic eased his three-game losing streak with a 6-0, 7-6(1) win over Australia's Rin Tokami. Djokovic currently holds the records for the most Masters titles (40), most finals (59) and most semifinals (78), and has equalled Nadal in the number of wins (410) since the series was launched in 1990.

In the third round, Djokovic will face the lucky loser Camilo Hugo Carabelli, who came back from behind to beat American Mitchelson 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-3.

Djokovic returned to Miami for the first time since 2019 and was playing his 501st game at the Masters 1000. The 37-year-old entered with the pressure of a three-game losing streak for the first time since 2018 – after suffering defeats at the Australian Open (retired), Doha and Indian Wells.

In the opening set against Rinfang To, he won the match in just 27 minutes and made just three unforced errors.

Although Tsuki found his groove in the second set, notably scoring with a brilliant save in the tie-break, Djokovic coped calmly. Djokovic then won six points in a row to seal the win with a total time of 80 minutes and rewrite the head-to-head record at 2-0.

Murray's look in the dugout was even more nervous than Djokovic's on the field. Despite taking a 6-1 lead in the tie-break, he remained very focused.

I feel like Murray is even more tired!

Take a look at the stats from the game:

Djokovic's unforced errors remained relatively low throughout the game, with only 12 and 21 winning points. What's even more rare is the service data, the first-serve goal rate, first-serve win rate and second-serve win rate are all above 80%, which is a very high level. The data of the hair and receive is also above 80%.

Of course, in terms of maneuverability, it is not at the level of this year's Australian Open. This requires a gradual process, and when it is strong, it is stronger.

What did Djokovic mean by leaving a message on camera after the game? Do you understand?
