In the early morning of March 17, Beijing time, the 2025 WTA1000 Miami women's singles draw was released, and the three members of the Chinese Army were directly shortlisted. Zheng Qinwen is seeded No. 9 and is in the quarter-finals with world No.1 Sabalenka, who will face a second-round opponent between homegrown player Davis and qualifiers. Yuan Yue will face Czech ace Sniakova in the first round, and Wang Xinyu's first-round opponent is Kudermetova.
World No.1 Sabalenka will face the winner of Tomova and McNally in the second round, with two-time tournament runner-up Rybakina in the quarter-finals and defending champion Collins in the quarter-finals. Gauff leads the quarter-finals and will face a Grand Slam champion in the second round, the winner of Kvitova and Kenin, with former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka in the zone and a qualifier in the first round. Pegula and Navarro are two local stars in the 3/4 zone, in addition to Andreeva, who has just won the title at Indian Wells. The quarters were led by Swiatek and Case, both of whom lost in the semi-finals at Indian Wells. The Women's Singles main draw will kick off on Tuesday (18 March) local time, with 32 seeded players enjoying first-round byes and making their debuts on Thursday or Friday local time.
