Get to know tennis prodigy Mila Andreeva in a minute

Mila Andreeva was born on April 29, 2007 in Krasnoyarsk, Siberian region, Russia. At the age of six, Mira embarked on her own tennis journey, which was a journey of challenge and glory. With the full support of her family, Mira and her sister Erica trained professionally in Moscow and Cannes, France, and grew up to become professional tennis players together.

In 2022, Andreeva officially transformed into a professional footballer. In 2023, at just 16 years old, she made it to the third round of the French Open and made it all the way to the fourth round at Wimbledon – beating Krejcikova on her way to the top 50 for the first time at the end of the year. At the 2024 Australian Open, Andreeva once again showed her strong strength and reached the fourth round; The French Open of the same year was a classic, as she defeated Sabalenka in the quarter-finals to reach the semi-finals, becoming the youngest Grand Slam women's singles semi-finalist since Hingis and finishing in the top 20 at the end of the year.

Entering 2025, Andreeva's competitive form is in full swing. In Dubai, she defeated Vondrousova, Swiatek, Rybakina and Towson, among others, to lift the trophy and enter the top 10 for the first time in the world rankings. Then, in Indian Wells, Andreeva continued her hot form, defeating Gracheva, Tauson, Rybakina, Svitolina, world No. 2 Swiatek in the semi-finals, and world No. 1 Sabalenka in the final. This week, Andreeva climbed to No. 6 in the world rankings, and her back-to-back victories in WTA1000 tournaments underlined her status at the top of women's tennis.

Today, Spanish tennis legend Conchita Martinez coaches Andreeva. Martinez had a long career as a player, winning Wimbledon in 1994 and ranking second in the world. She has also been successful as a coach, coaching Muguruza and Karolina Pliskova. I believe that under the careful guidance of Martinez, Andreeva will continue to write her own legend of "genius girl" on the road of tennis in the future.
