Sinner wins the Miami Open title amidst heavy rain

Right in the opponent's second service game, Sinner capitalized on unforced errors to secure a crucial break. Opportunities did not elude Lehecka as he had three break-points immediately afterward, but the Italian player's resilience helped him escape the danger.

The first set became more contested towards the end. Lehecka fought tenaciously, saving two set-points in the ninth game to keep hope alive. Nevertheless, Sinner demonstrated his class by winning the next service game decisively, closing the first set with a 6-4 score.

As the match was about to move into the second set, a heavy rain shower in Miami forced the organizers to temporarily halt the final.

After the match resumed, Sinner continued to maintain a solid control of the game. The top Italian player gave his opponent no chance to turn the tide and secured another 6-4 victory in the second set.

Ultimately, Jannik Sinner defeated Jiri Lehecka with a 2-0 score (6-4, 6-4), thereby convincingly claiming the Miami Open title after a nearly flawless campaign.
