2026 United Cup Tennis Tournament: Groups, Dates, History, and Complete Viewing Guide

The 4th United Cup will officially run from January 2 to January 11, 2026, with a tennis mixed team extravaganza hosted jointly by Perth and Sydney in Australia.

The defending champion, Team USA, led by world No. 3 Coco Gauff and world No. 6 Taylor Fritz, aims to retain their 2025 mixed team title;

The 2024 champions, Team Germany, boast a strong lineup led by world No. 3 Alexander Zverev, with Eva Lys making her first national team appearance.

Other star players participating include:

Poland’s Iga Świątek and Hubert Hurkacz;

Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari;

Italy’s Jasmine Paolini and Flavio Cobolli;

Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime and Victoria Mboko;

Great Britain’s Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper;

Japan’s Naomi Osaka, Australia’s hometown favorite Alex De Minaur, and Norway’s Casper Ruud are all part of their respective national teams.

Unfortunately, Alcaraz, Sinner, and Zheng Qinwen are not included in their national squads.

✅ Event Dates

The 2026 United Cup will be held from January 2 to January 11. This outdoor hard court event, established in 2023, will take place at Perth Royal Agricultural Showgrounds and Western Australia Sports Centre, as well as Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre (Ken Rosewall Arena). The tournament director is Stephen Farrow.

✅ Tournament Format

Eighteen teams are divided into six groups of three. The group stage uses a round-robin format where each team plays the other two teams in their group once. Each tie consists of one ATP men’s singles match, one WTA women’s singles match, and one mixed doubles match. Group winners advance to the quarterfinals, along with the best runner-up from each of the Perth and Sydney zones.

The 4th United Cup will start in two cities: Perth zone kicks off on January 2, Sydney zone on January 3. Both zones will host group matches and quarterfinals, with the top four teams advancing to Sydney for the semifinals on January 10 and the final on January 11.

✅ Prize Money

The total prize pool and participation subsidies for the 2026 United Cup amount to at least $11,806,190 USD, with ATP and WTA players guaranteed a minimum of $5,903,345 each. The prize money is distributed in three parts: participation subsidies, team match win bonuses, and final placement awards.

China is drawn in the same group as Canada and Belgium, with the following players:



China is not fielding its strongest lineup. Men’s singles No. 1 Zhang Zhizhen, No. 2 Rigele, No. 3 Wang Aoran. Women’s singles No. 1 Zhu Lin, No. 2 You Xiaodi.
