Besides the intense competition, the Special Olympics tennis event also featured several cultural performances. Before the matches on December 4th began, a heartfelt team composed of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their parents performed a touching song titled "Meeting in the Clouds" at the central court. They hoped this song would serve as a bridge to showcase the light and strength of special groups on the Hengqin and Special Olympics stage.

Song performance: "Meeting in the Clouds"

On the previous day, 22 students from grades two and three of Capital Normal University Ziqi Primary School presented a new rendition of the Danjia intangible cultural heritage song "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Development Creates Glory." Combining intangible heritage, pop, and ethnic styles, they expressed deep local affection through beautiful singing and dancing, illustrating Hengqin’s transformation from a fishing village to the Guangdong-Macao deep cooperation zone. Their innovative performance showcased the rapid integration and development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These children not only inherited cultural roots but also conveyed the spirit of the times, bringing intangible heritage alive today and into the future!
