On November 15th, the tennis competitions of the 15th National Games intensified, featuring leading national players like Wang Xinyu, Zhang Zhizhen, Buyun Chaokete, Yuan Yue, and Wu Yibing. The duo Wang Xinyu/Yuan Yue secured victory in the women's doubles first round. On November 16th, Wang Xinyu and Shang Juncheng will participate in the singles second round.

The third seed Wu Yibing made his debut on the center court in this tournament, defeating Tianjin player Liu Shaoyun decisively with scores of 6-0, 6-1, advancing to the men's singles round of 16. As China's first ATP Tour singles champion, Wu Yibing hopes to achieve strong results at the 15th National Games.

In other men's singles matches, top seeds including No. 1 Buyun Chaokete, No. 6 Sun Fajing, No. 7 Cui Jie, and No. 8 Zhang Zhizhen all advanced to the round of 16. The host province Guangdong’s No. 11 seed Mo Yecai lost 1-2 in sets to Hebei player Ni Dunjianzhan, missing out on the men’s singles last 16.

In the women's singles, second seed Yuan Yue, third seed Zhu Lin, fifth seed Wang Xiyu, and sixth seed Gao Xinyu all advanced to the round of 16. Ninth seed and Jiangxi player Zheng Wushuang was defeated 0-2 in sets by Zhejiang’s Zou Ruirui. Another Zhejiang player, Qu Yihan, after beating fourth seed Guo Hanyu in the previous round, won again this round 2-1 in sets against Fujian’s He Jiaying. Two-time defending champion Wang Qiang won straight sets against Hunan player Zhang Ying.

In the final match on center court, the fourth-seeded women's doubles pair from Guangdong, Wang Xinyu/Yuan Yue, defeated the Shanghai duo Ge Lingyou/Shi Jinling 6-0, 6-1, smoothly passing the first round. Tang Qianhui/Guo Hanyu and Wang Qiang/Zheng Saisai also advanced to the second round of women's doubles.

Huang Zelin, Wang Xinyu, and Shang Juncheng will appear on center court, while Zhou Yi and Wang Yafan will compete on Court 1. Additionally, the second round of doubles matches will fully commence, featuring high-seeded pairs such as Wang Xinyu/Yuan Yue, Wang Yafan/Jiang Xinyu, Zeng Yaojie/Yang Zijang, and Cui Jie/Terigele.
