
On November 3rd local time, the 2025 ATP 250 Athens tournament began its men's singles opening round, where Swiss star Wawrinka, granted a wildcard, fought back from a set behind and after a tough 2-hour 20-minute battle, edged out VandeSchelp 2-6, 7-6(5), 7-5 to move forward in the competition.

In the second round, Wawrinka will face the second seed Musetti, who is currently battling for a spot in this season’s ATP Finals and must win this tournament to surpass Aliassime. In other matches, fifth seed Miller narrowly defeated qualifier Struff 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(6); De Zukhe beat Finley 6-4, 6-2; Kecmanovic won against Majchrzak 7-6(4), 7-6(4); lucky loser Kopriva eliminated Opelka 6-4, 6-3, all advancing smoothly.
Top seed and Serbian star Djokovic is scheduled to play his men’s singles second-round match early tomorrow morning Beijing time, facing Chilean player Tabillo. Djokovic has recently relocated to Greece and said he feels at home there, expressing excitement to compete and hopes to perform well in front of many fans at the center court.
