ATP Paris Masters: Sinner Dominates Zverev, One Win Away from Reclaiming World No.1

On November 1st local time, the ATP Paris Masters concluded its semifinal matches. Second seed Sinner crushed defending champion and third seed Zverev 6-0, 6-1 in only 62 minutes, marking his debut final at this tournament and carrying a 25-match winning streak on indoor hard courts.

After a tough quarterfinal battle against Medvedev the previous day, Zverev showed clear signs of physical discomfort in the semifinals. Sinner expressed his sympathy after the match: “I’m obviously happy to reach the final, but no one wants to advance this way. Alcaraz

Ninth seed Alcaraz battled through two sets to overcome 13th seed Bublik 7-6(3), 6-4, reaching his fifth final of the season and the 20th of his career on the tour. This is also his second Masters final after finishing runner-up at the 2024 Madrid Masters. His current live ranking has risen to No. 8, surpassing Musetti.

“I’m so happy to make it to a Masters final,” Alcaraz said after the match. “You don’t get to play finals every week, so I hope I can keep this momentum and win the title. I have confidence in my game and know what I can do against the top players, but ultimately, I have to perform on court. I played well today and am very pleased with the result.”

Tonight at 19:30 Beijing time, the Paris Masters final day will kick off with the men’s doubles final, where second seeds Kas and Graspur face third seeds Heliövaara and Paaten. No earlier than 22:00, Sinner and Alcaraz will contest the men’s singles title. Their head-to-head stands tied at 2-2. If Sinner wins, he will reclaim the world No. 1 ranking; if Alcaraz triumphs, he will secure the final spot in the year-end championships.
