The 2025 Paris Masters semifinals are expected to be highly thrilling featuring leading tennis stars.
The final ATP 1000 event of the year – the 2025 Paris Masters – is reaching its climax. After thrilling matches, the four best players advancing to the semifinals have been officially revealed.
The reigning Paris Masters champion – Alexander Zverev continues his quest to defend the title after coming from behind to defeat his major rival Daniil Medvedev. Having lost to Medvedev 14 out of 21 previous official encounters, Zverev faced considerable pressure and dropped the first set heavily.
However, the German player capitalized on his opponent's instability to make a strong comeback in the second set and engaged in a fierce battle in the third set before clinching victory in the decisive tie-break.
In the semifinals, Alexander Zverev and Jannik Sinner will headline the main event of this year's Paris Masters. Although not at his peak condition, Sinner easily defeated the "easy prey" Ben Shelton in straight sets. The contrasting performances in the quarterfinals showed Sinner’s precise and surprising play versus Shelton’s explosive but rushed and unplanned style.
Zverev and Sinner last met in the Vienna Open final last week, where Sinner staged a comeback to claim the title in Austria. Can Sascha avenge his loss against an opponent who appeared to move with a slight limp and less agility than usual in their recent match?
The other semifinal will feature a showdown between two players with exceptionally strong serves: Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Bublik. Auger-Aliassime easily overcame the surprise package Valentin Vacherot in straight sets, while Bublik came from behind to defeat Alex De Minaur.
"FAA" and Bublik previously had an exciting duel at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships earlier this year, with the Canadian player emerging victorious. Fans can expect an intriguing and intense battle in this matchup.
The two Paris Masters 2025 semifinals will take place tonight, November 1st, Vietnam time.
