Coach Mai Duc Chung: 'Proud to have beaten Thailand twice in a row'

Coach Mai Duc Chung was proud as the Vietnam women’s team beat Thailand 3-1 in the third-place match of the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship. This is also the second straight time Vietnam has defeated this rival.

"First of all, let me, on behalf of the Vietnam women’s team, thank all the fans nationwide and those in Hai Phong for their support and encouragement, which helped us win. As I’ve said before, whether Huynh Nhu scores or not, she always plays a vital role for the team," Coach Mai Duc Chung began the post-match press conference.
