The Vietnamese women’s team wrapped up the 2025 AFF Women’s Championship with a 3-1 victory over Thailand, earning the bronze medal. More than just a medal, this match marked a special moment for striker Huỳnh Như, as she ended a goal drought that had lasted more than two years while playing for the national team.

In the 65th minute, after a smart through pass from Nguyễn Thị Vạn, Huỳnh Như broke away and faced goalkeeper Homyamyen one-on-one.

Her first attempt was unsuccessful, but showing the composure of a seasoned leader, she quickly followed up and scored to increase the lead to 2-0.
