Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Myanmar Women's National Team head coach Uki Tetsuro praised Australia's improvement since the opening game, despite Myanmar's previous victory. He stated:
“The Australian team has improved greatly, and tomorrow's match will be very challenging. Even though we only have two days to recover, our whole team will do their best to enter the match with maximum determination.”
On the Australian side, coach Joe Palatsides affirmed that the team has made significant progress since the loss to Myanmar in the group stage: “We arrived in Vietnam late and didn't have time to adjust to the weather, but since then the team has kept improving. The players have absorbed instructions well and performed admirably despite a tight schedule.”
He stated that Australia will continue to maintain their ball control style: “Our plan is to keep possession. If we control the ball well, they won't be able to score. We'll focus on our own game rather than worrying too much about the opponent.”
