65 million euros! Al-Nassr has reached an agreement with Liverpool regarding the transfer of Núñez, who has turned down AC Milan.

AC Milan is the second most prestigious club in the Champions League, but now the Rossoneri are merely a fallen aristocracy, lacking the strength to compete for titles. Joining Milan is neither profitable nor prestigious. Therefore, for players, moving to Milan is less appealing than heading to the Saudi Pro League for better earnings.

According to the latest report from renowned Italian journalist Di Marzio, Núñez will not be joining AC Milan, as the 26-year-old Uruguayan forward has already agreed to terms with Al-Nassr.

The journalist states that Núñez's decision not to choose AC Milan is influenced not only by player wages but also by the inability to meet Liverpool's transfer fee demands. In the past two days, Liverpool and Al-Nassr have reached an agreement on Núñez's transfer fee, set at 65 million euros, which includes bonus clauses.

It is reported that Núñez's requirement for joining Al-Nassr is a high salary; he is not interested in anything superficial, as playing in Saudi Arabia is all about making substantial money. Al-Nassr has largely accepted Núñez's salary demands, and both parties are now finalizing contract details, followed by medical examinations and signing.

Núñez joined Liverpool from Benfica in the summer transfer window of 2022 for a fee of 85 million euros. During his two years at Benfica, he made 85 appearances, scoring 48 goals and providing 16 assists, while in three years at Liverpool, he has played 143 matches, netting 40 goals and assisting 26 times. Núñez has struggled to adapt in the Premier League, so if Liverpool sells him for 65 million euros, it can be seen as a timely loss mitigation.

Núñez is currently 26 years old, in his prime, standing at 1.87 meters tall, playing as a right-footed center forward, with a market value of 45 million euros according to Transfermarkt. Last season at Liverpool, he was relegated to a substitute role, starting only 17 of his 47 appearances, contributing 7 goals and 6 assists.

Al-Nassr has a preference for strikers from the Premier League, indicating that Núñez will replace Mitrović. We hope Núñez finds his scoring touch at Al-Nassr and scores prolifically.
