The latest medal tally for the Swimming World Championships: China leads with 13 golds, Australia is second, and the USA is fourth!

As of August 1, Beijing time, the 2025 Swimming World Championships in Singapore continue with fierce competition. Yesterday marked the end of another day of events, yielding a total of 6 gold medals awarded to China, Romania, Australia, Canada, France, and the USA, showcasing a diverse spread of victories. Currently, China remains at the top of the medal table with 13 golds, Australia follows with 9 golds in second place, Germany is third with 6 golds, and the USA is fourth with 5 golds!

The Chinese team has held the top position since the start of the synchronized swimming events. Although we did not sweep all the golds in diving, we consistently contributed medals, securing our lead. Recently, we added another gold in the women's 10-meter platform. Although Quan Hongchan did not compete, Chen Yuxi demonstrated the prowess of a defending champion, decisively claiming the title and achieving an impressive four consecutive championships at the World Championships. This marks China's 13th gold, and currently, the USA no longer dominates swimming events alone; the results show a more widespread success, greatly increasing China's chances of maintaining the top position!

Australia has shown strong dominance in swimming, consistently winning gold medals almost every day since the events began. They currently rank first in the swimming category, firmly suppressing the USA. On this competition day, they secured the gold in the women's 4×200 meter freestyle relay, bringing their total to 9 medals, closing in on perfection, yet still trailing by four golds behind China!

Germany has secured 6 gold medals, including 4 in open water and 2 in swimming, ranking third and surpassing the USA. The USA's ability to compete for gold in swimming has significantly declined this event, having not won many medals over the past few competition days, and they are unlikely to reach the top three, making it unrealistic to aim for first place!

Canada has won the gold medal in the women's 200-meter butterfly. France claimed the gold in the men's 200-meter individual medley, Romania secured the gold in the men's 100-meter freestyle, while the USA won the women's 50-meter freestyle gold, and Australia took home the gold in the women's 4×200 meter freestyle relay!

With three competition days remaining in this event, the biggest question is whether China can maintain the top position on the medal table. Currently, the prospects look very promising, especially considering the significant decline of the USA in swimming events!
