Lindstrom will transfer to the Autostadt on a one-year loan, which will also feature a buy option valued at €12 million.
Wolfsburg sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz is very satisfied with this addition.
"Jesper brings experience from the Bundesliga and international play. With him, we acquire a dynamic and highly versatile player capable of covering nearly all midfield positions."
"We are thrilled that he is already part of the squad and will train with the team at the training camp," says Sebastian Schindzielorz on the Bundesliga club's website.
At Wolfsburg, Lindstrom will join teammates including, Jonas Wind, Joakim Maehle and Andreas Skov Olsen. All four have been part of the Danish national team roster over the past year.
However, Lindstrom has not recently participated under national coach Brian Riemer. Overall, he has played 18 international matches, with his last game being against Portugal in March.
The 25-year-old Lindstrom previously played for Brøndby, where he made his breakthrough.
