Tongji stretched out his hand to junior high school, Jia Xiuquan stretched out his hand to youth training, what are they going to do?

Reporter Nan Nan reports In Yingkou in October, the chill gradually enveloped the city. Although the temperature is still about 10 degrees Celsius at noon, once the sun goes down, the temperature drops to about 5 degrees. In addition to the low temperature, there is also a strong wind, and the evening breeze in Yingkou blows, sometimes like a knife scratching on the face, cold, and with a slight pain.

Recently, Yin Bojun has been practicing hard, sometimes he has to practice from half past five to half past eight in the evening. The reason for this hard work is that he will go to Shanghai to participate in the · of Tongji University International Football Academy on November 2-3. "Rising Star" talent training program Jia Xiuquan youth football elite selection. Once selected, Yin Bojun may embark on a different football life path.

P.S. Attached at the end of the article "· of Tongji University International Football Academy" Rising Star "Talent Training Program Jia Xiuquan Youth Football Elite Selection Notice" and "Registration Form".

This year's 12-year-old Yin Bojun is at the sensitive age of school football children. The problem of "retiring at the age of 12" is also a reality that his father Yin Xundong must face. Yin Xundong has experienced the era of amateur sports school, and he has been grinding there, and he knows that football is a particularly bitter sport. So every time he saw that his son was a little tired, he always told the 12-year-old that there was no training without hardship, and since he had chosen, he should stick to it. He felt tired and bitter, and it didn't hurt for the boy.

Comfort and encouragement were given to his son, and Yoon Hoon-dong kept his worries to himself. "It takes time to play football, and a child has so much time to say that he doesn't have to worry about his academic performance, it's impossible. As a parent, I can only help and urge him to find a balance. ”

Yoon Hoon-dong's worries are based on the growth experiences of countless children. Wei Gening, 18 years old this year, was selected for a professional club echelon in Shanghai five years ago and practiced for two years. Eventually, he decided to return to his hometown to continue his studies. Three years have passed, and some of his teammates in the echelon have been promoted to the first team. Now when it comes to his former career dream, Wei Gening is much calmer than when he chose to leave. He knew that his career dream was out of reach. Professional football and school football, at present, are still two parallel lines.

Because of this, Yin Xundong feels that the cooperation between Jia Xiuquan and the International Football Academy of Tongji University is of great significance to the children who play football. "It is said that 'retirement at the age of 12', my son is at this age, and we can meet Jia Gui and Tongji University at this critical moment to make such an attempt in the integration of sports and education, which is not only for my children, but also for the children who play football all over the country. If they can ensure that they go to school and have the opportunity to train at a high level, the road that children can walk in the future is much wider. ”

In the first half of this year, 7 departments including the Ministry of Education and 12 departments, including the General Administration of Sports, successively issued the "Implementation Opinions on Strengthening and Improving Youth Campus Football in the New Era" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Opinions on Campus Football Work") and the "Implementation Opinions on the Reform and Development of Youth Football in China". Among them, Article 10 of the "Opinions on the Implementation of Campus Football Work" clearly states that it is necessary to "smooth the growth channel of campus football talents and improve the growth system of campus football talents." Establish a 'one-stop' education system that connects elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university...... Research and demonstrate the '3+4' training mechanism, realize the connection of training paths such as campus football characteristic schools, new football schools, football academies, and professional clubs, and build a 'flyover' for the growth of football talents."

Compared with Wei Gening, Yin Bojun is lucky, at least he has another choice at the same age. Yin Xundong is also lucky, at least he has the opportunity to look forward to his son on the "overpass" of football talent growth, and sees the hope that many fathers could not see in the past.

This summer in Shanghai, the weather is changeable. In early June, You Songhui, president of Tongji University's International Football Academy, was still wearing a long-sleeved shirt. More than ten days later, Shanghai entered the oven mode, and the sudden rise in temperature did not give You Songhui a little room for buffer. In previous years, such hot weather would only occur from mid-July to mid-August, but the summer of 2024 was an exception. It is in such exceptional weather that Tongji International Football Academy has opened a different road of sports and education integration.

On the morning of July 19, the unveiling ceremony of the International Football Academy of Tongji University and the Nanyang High School of Shanghai Jiaotong University was held at Nanyang High School of Shanghai Jiaotong University. You Songhui, President of the International Football Academy, pointed out at the ceremony that the Football Academy and Nanyang High School of Shanghai Jiaotong University jointly built an innovative practice base for the integration of industry and education, which is an important connection between higher education and basic education, aiming to deepen education reform and promote the development of football. The unveiling ceremony also has an important significance, Dean You Songhui has completed an important piece of the puzzle in the cooperation between Tongji International Football Academy and Jia Xiuquan.

In the cooperation between Tongji International Football Academy and Jia Xiuquan, the former undertook the task of helping the selected children to complete cultural classes in Shanghai contact schools, so as to solve the children's worries about learning and playing in Shanghai. Behind this short sentence, it is the result of Dean You Songhui's repeated thinking, examination and travel, and the hardships are self-evident. For those repeated rushes, Dean You Songhui did not want to talk too much. He was born as a swimmer, experienced the era of "three from one big", has the most simple advantages of traditional Chinese sportsmen, can endure hardships, is not afraid of hardships, and also represents the indomitable spirit of Tongji people.

Tongji University has attached great importance to football since its establishment, and has always regarded football as the most important sport. The "Opinions on the Implementation of Campus Football Work" released in March this year mentioned "accelerating the construction of college football colleges." Research the establishment of football majors and include them in the catalog of undergraduate (junior college) majors in colleges and universities, and support and encourage qualified schools to build football academies...... Study the establishment of football vocational colleges to promote the regular training of football coaches and teachers. "In fact, Tongji International Football Academy was established as early as 2017, which shows how much attention Tongji University attaches to the development of football. On the other hand, football is also an education, not just a sport that develops physical functions. Since it is education, institutions of higher learning such as Tongji University also have their own social responsibilities.

Tongji International Football Academy is the first international football academy in China. Dean You Songhui has his own interpretation of the word international, "Tongji University was founded by Germany, so Tongji has a high degree of internationalization, and we have frequent exchanges with Europe. Dean You Songhui said, "When we established the Football Academy, we also realized that it was not enough to develop football on our own, and that we could achieve twice the result with half the effort through international exchanges and relying on the talents and experience of advanced countries, so when designing the Football Academy, we thought about taking the road of internationalization." ”

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. After the establishment of Tongji International Football Academy, it quickly began to build its own platform and established its own football club as a base for teaching and training. With their own club, students of the International Football Academy can participate in a variety of high-level competitions. In recent years, the men's team of the college has participated in the China Champions League in the Zhangzhou Division, and the women's team has cooperated with Shanghai Port Club to participate in the Women's B League, and won the runner-up in the league this year. In addition, Tongji International Football Academy also has teams participating in the top five and five super league competitions.

Tongji International Football Academy's plan for the club is to play at least in the Chinese League. "The club platform is built to improve the level of our players, and the college league alone is very limited to the improvement of our players." Dean You Songhui said, "Teams in professional leagues above the Chinese League can have foreign aid. We are also a highly international football academy, and we can recruit international students through some scholarship policies to enrich our club's personnel, which is our unique advantage. ”

The successful docking with the innovation practice base of the integration of industry and education in Nanyang High School of Shanghai Jiaotong University marks an important start of the cooperation between Tongji International Football Academy and Jia Xiuquan. This not only ensures that the children have a place to study and train in Shanghai, but also gives the children and their parents hope for the future. According to the cooperation plan, the children who pass this selection will have the opportunity to be admitted to the Tongji International Football Academy after studying at Nanyang High School of Shanghai Jiaotong University. At the same time, children also have the option to go to other universities. Once they enter the International Football Academy, the academy will help children complete the transition to professional footballers through cooperation with professional clubs at home and abroad, and even study abroad or stay abroad. When the children play for professional teams or stay abroad, the college will reserve their college student status for them. This is in line with the content of the "Implementation Opinions on the Reform and Development of Chinese Youth Football" that "high school students and college students who have entered the echelon and first team of professional clubs can retain their student status".

It takes time for the two "Opinions" to be released and implemented, but the time of those children who play football will not pause and wait for the implementation of the policy. At the juncture of the 7-0 defeat to Japan in the national football team, Tongji University and the International Football Academy were able to take a determined step to try, which required great courage and courage. And this is closely related to the persistence of Dean You Songhui. You Songhui believes that his original intention has nothing to do with policies: "We are not using policies to help ourselves, but we are willing to help Chinese football have a better future." ”

"Our idea is not complicated. From the very beginning, there is a complete set of design planning, which is to follow our design step by step, and move forward in a down-to-earth manner. Our collaboration with Jia was the beginning of this whole program. From junior high school to high school, the formation of football talent training through, so as to open up the upward channel. Dean You Songhui said.

In 2015, the "Implementation Opinions of the Ministry of Education and Other Six Departments on Accelerating the Development of Youth Campus Football" was released, and by 2024, the "Opinions" will be issued for a full decade. In the past decade, more and more educators like Dean Yau Songhui have stepped forward in the development of football. And Chinese football people have not stopped thinking for themselves, and Jia Xiuquan's guidance is one of them.

After leaving the Chinese women's football team, Jia Xiuquan has been resting at home in Beijing. In his spare time, he still pays attention to the matches of the Chinese Super League and the national team, and has also been reflecting and summarizing the past. During this period, many parents gave him videos of young players playing football through friends or former team members under Jia's guidance. Looking at these children who like football and want to become professional players or even play for the country in the future, Jia Gui felt that he should do something as a Chinese footballer.

Before the Asian Cup final at the beginning of the year, the AFC invited the MVPs of the previous Asian Cups to watch the game, and Jia Xiuquan was also among them. After watching the Asian Cup final and communicating with the opponents of the year, Coach Jia was deeply touched. When he was a player, the gap between the Chinese team and its Asian opponents was mainly reflected in the game experience, and the backwardness against the strong teams was mainly due to the lack of experience in international competitions. At that time, the Chinese team was able to compete with strong teams at the Asian level because we had our own characteristics and advantages, and there were a group of star players under each characteristic.

And the current Chinese team, in the process of selecting materials to later training, has regressed to the loss of half a son, to the loss of one son, and then to the loss of three sons. There are fewer and fewer players with characteristics, so at the national team level, the current defeat is a normal result. Returning to Beijing from Qatar, Jia Xiuquan strengthened his determination to devote himself to youth training.

In June this year, the investor of a Chinese League A team intended to ask Jia Xiuquan to guide the team out of the mountain and personally invite Jia Xiuquan to Beijing for an interview. Hearing the news, Jia Xiuquan thought for a long time, rejected the other party's hospitality, and turned off his mobile phone for three days. If the investor knew that Coach Jia rejected him because he wanted to devote himself to the youth training career that is more important to Chinese football, perhaps he could also understand Coach Jia's intentions.

Jia Xiuquan was selected for the Bayi Youth Team at the age of 12 and experienced the era of the Sports Brigade. With personal experience, Coach Jia knows very well that the model of the year has long been unable to meet the needs of Chinese football talent training in the new era. In today's society, to become a person with a certain level of cognition and a sound personality, it is inseparable from the power of knowledge and a normal educational and social environment. The cultivation of football talents requires not only standardized basic technical training, but also a good platform to cultivate the cultural and cognitive abilities of young players to improve their decision-making ability on the field. This is inseparable from a good cultural atmosphere and a stable upward channel of culture and education.

A football academy of a top university needs top local coaches, and the emergence of Tongji International Football Academy has also filled the last blank for Jia's vision. In this way, with the matchmaking of a third party, the two sides started this cooperation. According to the plan, the first period of cooperation between the two parties will be 6 years, covering the learning and training stages of the child's junior high school and high school. These 6 years are a critical period for a child's growth. Within half a year after the expiration of the first cooperation, if both parties intend to do so, the cooperation period will be extended for 6 years. Football and education are not overnight, just the 12 years that this cooperation may reach can reflect the sincerity and attitude of both parties in this top-level sports and education integration.

In traditional Chinese culture, 12 years are reincarnated. The cooperation between Tongji International Football Academy and Jia Dao is the beginning of a new chapter in the elite training of Chinese football campuses.

After leaving the Chinese women's football team in October 2021, Jia Xiuquan has rarely been interviewed by the outside world. With his coaching qualifications and prestige, it is not difficult to find a job in the top professional league in the country. However, Coach Jia not only refused the invitation from the professional league team, but also resolutely devoted himself to the youth training career. Unlike the Chinese footballers who have entered the youth training before, Coach Jia did not enter the youth training in the form of a football school or a social club, but cooperated with the International Football Academy of Tongji University, a well-known university, to create elite training for campus football. In an exclusive interview with this newspaper, Coach Jia talked about his views on the new attempt of campus football elite training that is about to begin, and also talked about his goals and standards for the cultivation of future talents in Chinese football.

Football: Hello Director Jia, you are about to cooperate with Tongji International Football Academy to devote yourself to the elite youth training of campus football, when will you start thinking about joining the youth training of campus football?

Jia Xiuquan: After coming down from the women's football team, as a coach, you have to reflect and summarize, and then think about where to go next. During this period, there were clubs that wanted me to coach, but I don't think you should go out blindly until you think about it. In the past few years, I have been following the matches of the Chinese Super League and the national team, and through the comparison of horizontal and vertical performances, I feel that the gap between Chinese football and Asian opponents in all aspects has widened, and these gaps have been opened little by little at the basic level. Therefore, I feel that I should return to my original intention, that is, my own path to success, and do my own modest contribution to Chinese football by cultivating future talents in Chinese football.

Why did you consider cooperating with Tongji International Football Academy?

Tongji University is a highly educated university. Some of my former teammates in the Bayi team went to university at Tongji after retiring, so I have a certain understanding of Tongji's emphasis and development in football. I also want to use this model to be able to cultivate a few more talents for the national youth, the national youth, and even the national team in the future, which is my ultimate goal.

Now I happen to have the opportunity of Tongji, and I still have the energy in this area, if I don't do this, in a few years, maybe my mood will be different. If I don't do it now, I may have regrets in the future, and I don't want to keep my regrets to myself. At the same time, I would like to thank Tongji for being so determined to do something for the future of Chinese football. Tongji's football academy is an international football academy, and they also have their own advantages in the channels of international cooperation in the future.

As one of the best local coaches, what do you think you can bring to the different things you can bring to the children of school football?

I have led several batches of national youth and national youth players, and I know what children need to get when they grow up, that is, standardized football special ability. In my vision, these children can learn culture in school, and can really learn standardized football skills on the field, can appreciate the importance of teamwork, and can really improve football skills, cultural literacy and way of thinking.

At my age, I feel like I need to pass on what I've seen and what I've experienced, whether it's my experience as a player or a coach, to these kids. I have led the team to participate in the Women's Asian Cup, the Olympic Games, and the World Cup, and these competitions are very training and we have accumulated a lot of experience. Most of what we've experienced in women's football has been successful and tested in major tournaments, so I'm sure we'll be successful with that experience for our kids. Again, I want to use my meager strength to say less, do more, and do something for the future of Chinese football in a down-to-earth manner.

What kind of talent do you want to cultivate for the future of Chinese football?

From my point of view, when we look at the world, we still have to emphasize qualitative. The so-called qualitative means to think repeatedly and not follow the trend. There is an old saying called integrity and innovation. To be upright is to pass on our good things in the past. In the past, we had players who were fast, who were technically good, who had good brains, and even who were tall, and these were all players with characteristics. There may be children who are not very tall, but it doesn't matter, as long as they are skilled, agile and responsive, they have a chance. These are all 11 different positions on the pitch. As a coach, you should have an eye to discover these players with characteristics and develop them, which is what I want to focus on next.

As coaches, we are not biased in our understanding of the development of world football. For these children, the first thing to do is to lay a good foundation of football-specific skills. If you play well in the basics, you can hit the ground if you want to, you can play long passes if you want to, you can't fight offensively, and I can limit you by defending. Tactics are just a form of expression, and ultimately it comes down to all kinds of basic football skills. On the basis of these, we dig out players with different characteristics for elite training, hoping to make the national team have more choices when selecting players in the future.

In the past, whether it was a professional team or a national team, there was huge pressure. Will there be less pressure after starting to lead elite youth training? Where will it come from?

The pressure is different. The pressure now may lie in the yield in the future. We have such a good platform as Tongji, and we also have such experienced coaches, I believe that there can be talents, but how many top talents can play for the national team is where my pressure lies.

Many parents of children now see football as a way to go to school, or even a shortcut. Your cooperation with Tongji seems to have opened another channel, allowing many people to see the upward channel in campus football and the hope of going from colleges and universities to professional clubs and even staying abroad.

That's right, I think these channels should be opened. We provide all-round support to the children during their time in school, and in terms of football skills, only after standardized professional training can they go to the next step to consider professional football or stay abroad.
