If Manchester United signs a new striker, they must offload Hojlund! He may be loaned back to Serie A, following the Rashford model.

Manchester United's current transfer plan is to bring in a new striker, and once this is accomplished, the current number 9, Hojlund, will certainly be let go. If necessary, the club intends to replicate the model of Rashford being loaned to Barcelona, sending away the 22-year-old Danish forward. In the first summer friendly, "The Freight" became a laughingstock when he blocked a potential match-winner from teammate Patrick Dorgu with his hip.

During Hojlund's first season at Manchester United, despite facing a long wait for his first Premier League goal, he eventually scored 10 league goals, showcasing his potential. However, last season saw everything reset, as he only netted 4 goals in 32 matches, drawing heavy criticism for his performance. Throughout all competitions, Hojlund endured a goal drought lasting 22 hours and 19 minutes, going from last December to this March without scoring in 22 consecutive matches over three months.

This summer, Hojlund has consistently asserted that he intends to stay at Manchester United; however, this is not solely his decision. If Ruben Amorim brings in a new number 9, and given that the team won't be competing in the Champions League next season, the need for rotation will be limited, forcing "The Freight" to leave.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano stated, "Hojlund wants to remain at Manchester United and fight for his position. But if the club informs him that the coach does not trust him and that he can leave, he will consider other options and depart."

David Ornstein, an authoritative transfer expert from "The Athletic," asserted, "This summer, Hojlund has a strong chance of leaving Manchester United."

Many fans appreciate Hojlund's fighting spirit and hope to salvage his situation, such as having the new striker "mentor" him. However, if Manchester United signs 29-year-old Watkins, it would be different, but if the new striker turns out to be Šeško, the Slovenian forward born on May 31, 2003, he would naturally be younger than Hojlund, born on February 4 of the same year, and thus unable to mentor him.

Another striker candidate for Manchester United, Jaksøn, is only 24 years old, making them more likely to be competitors for Hojlund rather than mentors. If the Red Devils want someone to guide Hojlund, they would have to look for a veteran like Vardy on a free transfer. However, this is merely an ideal scenario; Manchester United has had experienced scorers like Ibrahimović, Cavani, and Ronaldo over the years, yet young forwards haven't learned much from them.

Next season, Manchester United, without the Champions League, will have a maximum of around 50 matches across all competitions; if cup progress is poor, it could even be as few as 40 matches. Amorim's squad also includes players like Zirkzee and Chidozie Obasi, reducing the need for Hojlund to serve as a backup striker.

In contrast, interest in Hojlund remains high among Italian clubs, especially Inter Milan. Before transferring to Manchester United, "The Freight" played for Atalanta, and at that time, the "Nerazzurri" were interested in him, but the Red Devils' £72 million transfer fee was unbeatable.

Although Hojlund's contract doesn't expire until June 2028 and he has the option for an additional year, "Calciomercato" reports that if they can sign a new striker, Manchester United is willing to loan Hojlund out, similar to the deal with Rashford. The key difference is that while Barcelona had an option to buy Rashford, the club would require a mandatory buy clause for Hojlund.

Manchester United hopes to set Hojlund's final transfer price based on his performance, similar to Chelsea's original buyout plan for Sancho. At that time, the two clubs agreed that the Blues' final league position would determine Sancho's buyout price, with a minimum of £20 million and a maximum of £25 million.

Manchester United aims to eventually receive £39 million from the Hojlund deal through a loan-to-buy arrangement, ensuring that their accounts do not suffer losses in the calculations for Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Regulations.

Besides Inter, Serie A clubs Juventus and AC Milan are also monitoring Hojlund, but neither has made a formal offer yet. For Juventus, although they have signed free agent Jonathan David, with Vlahović likely leaving, the team still needs another forward, and if they cannot secure a buyout for Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, Hojlund may become a replacement option.

Meanwhile, Milan is closely watching the domino effect in the striker market, targeting Vlahović, with Hojlund also being a potential alternative. Currently, the person responsible for Milan's transfers, Igle Tare, has already contacted Manchester United to understand the details of Hojlund's transfer conditions.
