Jorge Jesus has signed with Al Nassr for a season and will once again lead a Saudi team, having previously managed Al Hilal last season.
Jorge Jesus takes over from Stefano Pioli as coach of the team featuring Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo who was dismissed from Al Hilal just months ago.
The 70-year-old Portuguese coach has signed for one season and is expected to earn approximately 12 million euros.
Still in Lisbon at the time of the announcement, Jorge Jesus spoke to reporters at Humberto Delgado Airport and acknowledged that Ronaldo was instrumental in his move.
"Without his invitation, I definitely wouldn't be here," Jorge Jesus stated.
"The motivation will be significant. I will aim to help Al Nassr, one of the top clubs in Saudi Arabia, achieve success.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is a player who has always won wherever he has played. He hasn't yet won in Saudi Arabia. I’ll see how I can assist him," the Portuguese coach added, assuring that working with CR7 is straightforward.
"We speak the same language, making everything easy," he concluded.
