Manchester United wants to sign Dzhekereish for 60 million, not Osimhen! Create a dream trident for Amorim

After missing out on Liam Delap, United are back in contention for Djekereish and are confident of signing the Swedish striker, who has just turned 27. This is because the club finds itself still well-funded, and the battle for a Portuguese sporting centre-forward is nowhere near as fierce as it could have been.

Manchester United officially announced on Friday that their total operating expenses fell by £41.6 million in their latest quarterly earnings report to £162.1 million. With Sir Jim Ratcliffe's various cuts and, more importantly, a 25 per cent pay cut after missing out on the Champions League, Manchester United's total wages fell by £20 million to £71.2 million.

However, United still have a huge amount of money wasted on repaying the debt borrowed by the Glazer family when they bought the club in 2005, and the total cost of repaying the debt has reached a staggering £1.2 billion over 20 years. This includes £815 million in debt interest and £166 million in shareholder dividends. If it weren't for these debt pressures, the Red Devils would have more money on their hands.

Even so, Manchester United chief executive Omar Berada has pledged to work hard to strengthen the squad. "We are proud to have reached the final of the Europa League, but it was disappointing to end up as runners-up in Bilbao. We've had a difficult season in the Premier League, not up to the standard we should have, and we have clear expectations for improvement next season.'

Manchester United have confirmed a £62.5 million liquidated fee to buy Wolves striker Cunha and are now chasing Mbeumo, who is also worth more than £60 million, but Amorim also wants a centre-forward. Djekereish has always been his first choice, and the two have enjoyed working together at Sporting Portugal.

This season, Dzhecherish has scored 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting and helped them win both the Portuguese Super League and the Portuguese Cup. His liquidated damages clause was £85 million, but he agreed a gentleman's deal with the club last summer to allow him to move for £60million this summer.

Arsenal were once considered favourites to bring in Djekereish, but after negotiations, Arteta seems to be more inclined to bring in RB Leipzig youngster Benjamin Seshko. This has embarrassed Djekereish and he is ready to change his mind and stop worrying about whether he qualifies for the Champions League or not.

Djekereish played for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League but did not get a chance to play, while he did well in Coventry City in the Championship. However, Amorim believes he can adapt to his 343 style of play, prove himself in the Premier League and have always looked at it as his first choice, and he wants a goalscorer who has proven himself, rather than a young player like Drap Jr., despite the latter's characteristics that he also recognizes.

Amorim wants to forge a new Manchester United striker, both of whom are in their prime and if all goes well, 26-year-old Mbeumo and Cunha, 27-year-old Dzhekereish, will be the new trident for the Red Devils next season.

Mark Ogden, ESPN's leading Manchester United correspondent, said that although the 26-year-old Osimhen's talks with Saudi Arabian professional league giants Riyadh Crescent were on the verge of breaking down, and he is also a "mature man" who can be brought in as a centre-forward, he is not a target for Manchester United. This is most likely because of wages, Osimene asked for more than 400,000 pounds a week, and even Saudi oil financiers ended up being a little embarrassed by the conditions he demanded!

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Crescent Moon is still trying to lobby the Nigerian striker, who has offered Napoli a transfer fee of more than 70 million euros and increased the salary of Osimhen in the hope of finally reaching an agreement. It is said that the problem on the player side is not much more, and the difference between the two clubs is still around 5 million euros.

Although Manchester United is rich, of course it is not as good as the oil tycoons of the Middle East! As a result, Sky Sports has also confirmed that Djekereish is the first choice in Amorim's eyes, who feels that bringing in players he is familiar with is not too risky and can bring about the fastest results.
