It was revealed that Manchester United wanted to buy a reduced version of Salah for 55 million yuan, and reorganized the front trident! Selling Garnacho can raise money

Manchester United's Europa League title defeat will affect their transfer budget this summer. However, according to Western media, Ruben Amorim still wants to buy another striker, and the club has made an offer for Brentford's right winger Brian Mbeumo.

Spain's Fichajes transfer network reports that Manchester United have made an offer of almost £55 million (€65 million) for Mbeumo. Amorim and the transfer department are said to recognise the Cameroonian winger's ability, with the 25-year-old playing mainly as a right-winger and can also play in the middle, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists in 37 Premier League games this season. The 20-goal mark in the league is a statistic that the Red Devils have not achieved with a striker for many years.

In the Premier League's scorer list, the 171cm-tall left-footed Mbeumo has scored fewer goals than Mohamed Salah (28), Isak (23) and Haaland (21), and is tied with Chris Wood for fifth.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has admitted that his club is a sell-out club, suggesting that it may not be a hindrance to a move for Mbeumo. The Bees and Mbeumo and their striker Joan Savi both have one year left on their contracts, albeit with a one-year extension clause. As a result, they will either successfully renew their contracts or sell them this summer, as they have done with Watkins, Benrahma, David Raya and Ivan Toney in the past.

Frank said: "I can definitely understand the interest in Mbeumo and other teams should be interested in him. He is in his best age and has scored 20 goals this season. Naturally, I would like to keep him, but we are a sales club, so if someone offers the right price, he will leave."

However, Brentford could ask for a hefty £60 million, and the club spent only £5 million (€6.5 million) on the acquisition of Mbeumo from Ligue 2 side Troyes, which is sure to make a fortune. It is also believed that Mbemo is ready for a bigger challenge and joining a big club.

Former Chelsea player and talkSPORT radio pundit Jason Kandi has described Mbeumo as a 'mini Mo Salah', proving his ability in English football with 70 goals and 51 assists in 242 appearances for Brentford. Not only that, but Mbeumo is also very dedicated off the pitch, and the British media revealed that he spends his own money to hire a chef to ensure that the details of his life such as food and drink are just right.

Brentford finished 10th and missed out on European qualification for next season, so the hurdle for United to secure Mbeumo has been reduced by one link. His quality is assured, and he has scored nine goals in the Premier League for two consecutive years before scoring 20 goals this season. In terms of assists, Mbeumo has been consistently at seven or eight assists for three consecutive seasons.

After Manchester United miss out on European football, Garnacho, who fell out with Amorim, will be sold, and he can bring "pure profit" as an academy player. With the transfers of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho, and the possibility of Hojlund and Zilkze being sold at the same time, United have the opportunity to completely change the structure of their attack. If B Fee, Andre Onana and Kobe Mayno are sold, the funds will be more abundant.

Manchester United's other option is Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo, who is said to be priced at a whopping £70 million. Former Manchester United chief scout McBraun has revealed that United are indeed interested in Mbeumo and Semenyo, with Amorim an admirer of both. However, United will certainly not sign both Mbeumo and Semen, and will decide to prioritise the signing of a player after initial talks.

Brown analysed: "Mbeumo and Semenyo are both on United's radar and even if they reach an agreement with Cunha, Amorim will be looking to continue to improve his attacking options. Either of the two, will outperform the existing players. That's the type of player that United have to consider because a truly elite player wouldn't want to join the current Manchester United. It's not disrespectful to Mbeumo or Semenyo, they're still top players. Manchester United will negotiate with both clubs and ultimately make a choice. They need to determine factors such as the asking price and then consider whether to move forward with one or the other."

RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, but the 22-year-old Dutchman has not played in the Premier League, but is also more expensive than Mbeumo, requiring at least €80 million and even rumoured €135 million.

Ligue 1 assist leader Layan Shcherki of Lyon is also a rumoured target for Manchester United, with the advantage of being cheap, with a deal of between €25 million and €40 million. However, the new French international has not played in the Premier League, and there is uncertainty.

Among the above-mentioned right-sided players, Mbeumo is certainly the strongest overall player at the moment. Imagine a new trident of Cunha, Liam Delap and Mbeumo, with Amad Diallo dropping back to right wing-back and Fernandes switching to midfield, with United's attacking creativity in midfield expected to be greatly improved, especially against underdogs. However, convincing Mbeumo and Delap to join is another major challenge for a down-and-out Manchester United.
