MU easily beat Rosenborg 5-0 in the friendly at Lerkendal Stadium (Trondheim, Norway), putting on a persuasive display following the 0-1 defeat to Wrexham in the tour opener.
Facing an opponent not considered too strong, the "Red Devils" completely controlled the game. The first-team regulars were used for about 60 minutes to regain match sharpness and physical fitness ahead of the new season. However, it was the young players who left the most notable impression.
Shea Lacey opened the scoring with a neat finish, sending MU into the break with a 1-0 lead. In the second half, the red-clad side continued to apply pressure and quickly doubled their advantage.

Joshua Zirkzee scored the best goal of the match with an impressive solo run before coolly finishing past the Rosenborg goalkeeper. The Dutch striker drew attention amid uncertainty over his future, with rumors linking him to Juventus.
The score was extended to 3-0 for MU after just over an hour of play. Jacob Devaney found the net shortly after coming off the bench, scoring from close range following a corner kick in the 63rd minute.
In the closing minutes, Harry Amass and Ethan Williams each added their names to the scoresheet. Both were in the right place to tap in from close range at the far post following convenient assists from Kamason, sealing a comprehensive 5-0 victory for MU.
As planned, MU will continue their summer friendly tour with a match against Atletico Madrid in Stockholm on August 1st.
