Brazilian striker leaves V.League, surprisingly drops to First Division

Becamex TP.HCM has officially recruited Brazilian striker Daniel Dos Anjos to strengthen the attack ahead of the new season.

Becamex TP.HCM continues to make an impression on the transfer market ahead of the V.League 2 season by officially selecting striker Daniel Dos Anjos as the team's only foreign player. The arrival of the Brazilian forward is expected to significantly boost the attacking strength and help the team realize its goal of returning to V.League 1 in the 2026/27 season.

According to V.League 2 regulations, each club can only register one foreign player. After evaluating the squad, Coach Gerard Albadalejo decided to place his trust in Daniel Dos Anjos. This is also a familiar face for the Spanish strategist, as the two previously worked together at Ninh Binh last season.

Daniel Dos Anjos is 30 years old, stands 1.83 m tall, and has a powerful playing style. Before coming to Vietnam, the Brazilian striker played for several clubs in his home country, notably Flamengo. He also spent four seasons with Benfica B (Portugal), gaining extensive experience in European football before moving to conquer the V.League.

In the 2025/26 season, Daniel Dos Anjos made his mark while playing for Ninh Binh with 4 goals in the V.League. The striker born in 1996 scored a brace against Thanh Hoa, and also found the net in victories over Hanoi FC and PVF-CAND. His ability to bulldoze through defenses, intelligent positioning, and varied finishing made him one of the highly-rated foreign players in the league.

Reuniting with coach Gerard Albadalejo is considered a big advantage for Daniel Dos Anjos. The Spanish manager knows his student's strengths well and is expected to build a suitable tactical system to maximize the Brazilian striker's goal-scoring ability. This is also an important part of the plan to enhance Becamex TP.HCM's competitiveness in the new season.

Before Daniel Dos Anjos, Becamex TP.HCM had recruited naturalized striker Hoang Vu Samson to increase squad depth. Along with these quality additions and thorough professional preparation, the team from Thu is showing great determination in the race for promotion. The presence of Daniel Dos Anjos is expected to become a key piece helping Becamex TP.HCM realize its goal of returning to the V.League 1 arena.
