V-League runner-up announces three new signings simultaneously

The Cong - Viettel formally announced three domestic newcomers, including Doãn Ngọc Tân, Phạm Trung Hiếu, and Triệu Việt Hưng, to bolster their lineup for the 2026/2027 campaign.

Accordingly, Doãn Ngọc Tân and Phạm Trung Hiếu signed two-season contracts, while Triệu Việt Hưng will stay with the military team until the end of the 2028/2029 season.

Doãn Ngọc Tân (born 1994) is an energetic midfielder known for his passionate style, tireless work rate, and strong fighting spirit. The biggest milestone in his career is winning the AFF Cup with the Vietnam national team.

In the 2025/2026 season, while playing for Đông Á Thanh Hóa, Ngọc Tân served as captain and made 17 appearances, 16 of which were starts. His return to the club where he was developed is expected to enhance the strength and composure of The Cong - Viettel's midfield.

Meanwhile, defender Phạm Trung Hiếu (born 1998) is regarded as a quality addition to the wing. The former Vietnam national team player has excellent physical condition, good speed, and effective support in both attack and defense. Playing for Hải Phòng in the 2025/2026 V.League, Trung Hiếu was a key element in the tactical system of the Port City team and scored 2 goals.

Triệu Việt Hưng, former Hải Phòng FC midfielder, is a modern-style player with the ability to create breakthroughs. Alongside Trung Hiếu, Việt Hưng played a crucial role in Hải Phòng's lineup last season. His arrival is expected to offer more tactical options for The Cong - Viettel across all three competitions in the new season.

After joining The Cong - Viettel, Phạm Trung Hiếu shared: "I am very honored and proud to join The Cong - Viettel, one of the top teams in Vietnamese football. Viettel Group is setting very high goals for the team in the new season. These are challenges but also opportunities, especially in the AFC Champions League Two, where both players and the club have the chance to go further."

Evaluating the three new signings, head coach Velizar Popov emphasized: "Doãn Ngọc Tân, Phạm Trung Hiếu, and Triệu Việt Hưng are all players with good tactical thinking, quick adaptability, and a high spirit of dedication. I believe the current squad will together build a disciplined and effective playing style to meet the expectations of fans in the 2026/2027 season."
