Determine the four teams advancing to the semifinals of the 2026 National U21 Championship Finals

On the afternoon of July 21, the remaining two quarterfinal matches of the 2026 National U21 Championship were held, thereby identifying the last two teams to reach the semifinals: HAGL and SLNA.

In the first match, PVF and HAGL created a tight and balanced contest. In the first half, both teams played cautiously, creating few real dangerous chances. Most of the time, the ball was contested in midfield, and the two sides went into the break without any goals.

In the second half, the game saw little change. PVF had slightly more possession but struggled against HAGL's well-organized defense. After 90 minutes failed to decide the winner with a 0-0 draw, the two teams had to go to a penalty shootout. From the spot, the HAGL players showed more composure to win 4-2, thus becoming the third team to secure a place in the semifinals.

In the 38th minute, from a corner kick situation, Thanh Duc unleashed a beautiful shot, doubling the lead for SLNA. Meanwhile, SHB Da Nang faced many difficulties in launching attacks and failed to create many notable opportunities in the first half.

However, as SHB Da Nang was striving for an equalizer, Quang Vinh scored a goal to seal a 3-1 victory for SLNA in the final minutes. This result helped the Nghe An team earn a place in the semifinals.

Earlier, in the two quarterfinal matches held on July 20, Hanoi overcame Hanoi Police with a 4-2 penalty shootout victory after a 2-2 draw in regular time, while The Cong Viettel defeated PVF-CAND 1-0 to secure their spot.
